Conversation Starter/Questions (10-15 minutes)
Option 1: In understanding that we are PG-13, what is the most fun thing that you have done in the last 3 months? Would you recommend it to the group?
Option 2: If you were on the presidential committee for debates, what would you do in order to have a “more orderly” debate next time, if they utilize the same rough format again?
Option 3: Did you like the Left Behind Series by Tim Lahaye, why or why not and was it good for Christendom?
Sermon Based Questions(remember, use all or which questions you want)
Read the Core Text Verses: 2 Corinthians 5:15–20 (ESV) & 1 Peter 2:9 (ESV)
What jumps out to you in regards to these verses? Is there something that convicts or encourages you about them?
What has, in hindsight, been your greatest takeaway from this series and how will you apply this takeaway to your life?
What will be your greatest challenge in dyeing to yourself? Who will keep you accountable to this difficult choice?
Read Luke 9:23 (ESV). Pastor Thad said, in his message, that we must come to the place that we put our yes on the table with Jesus. Have you or when did you start putting your yes on the table with Jesus (have you taken your yes off the table as this is a daily action)? If you have never been so bold as to put your yes on the table, what is your greatest struggle? If you are doing this, tell us about your challenges and praises regarding this experience and what the impact of these events has been?
What is your excitement level about Jesus coming back or you going to Jesus? What can we do to generate more excitement about Jesus and our ultimate destiny?
Note: At the end or near the end of every chapter of 1 Thessalonians, Paul is speaking encouragingly about Christ’s return.
Digging Deeper (you can do both questions or either or)
Read the quotes below and then unpack them in discussion. Does this create any new meaning for anyone and how they will respond in worship next service or how they will approach evangelism/witnessing?

In the sermon, pastor Thad alluded to the discussion in the podcast and the heart of worship that drives our desire to proclaim Jesus. He and the group talked about our posture in worship. What does your posture in worship say about your relationship to Jesus and what do you think it communicates to others? Is there anything that you need to be mindful of or do differently?
Challenge and Prayer
Out of the four challenges in the sermon of what we must do in response to Jesus’/God’s provision and our discussion in the group, which one will be the hardest for you and how can we pray for you?The challenge then, is to take one step towards that hard thing you must do and ask someone to hold you accountable to do it!
