As we close out our series in 1 Peter that we began back in January, is there anything that has stuck with you through the series or the book of 1 Peter?

How would you define what it means to be “Chosen to be Set Apart”?

Read 1 Peter 5:10-14. What stands out to you about this section?

What does it tell us about the character of God?
What does it tell us about humanity/us?

In verse 9, Peter reminds his readers about the suffering of Christians throughout the world. How can this reminder be a source of strength to Christians as they struggle?

What do you think Peter means by “a little while” when he talks about Christian suffering?
How does a reminder about the length of suffering versus the length of glory strengthen a Christian who is under attack?

What does it mean to be restored? Confirmed? Strengthened? Established?

Which of those promises of God above resonates with you the most?
This is our 9th week of having church from home. How have you seen God moving through these promises at this time in your life?

What promises of God in scripture do you know of? Who is that promise for, and when is it fulfilled? See Romans 5:1-5, Romans 8:31-39, 1 John 1:9, Romans 8:28, Psalm 9:9-10, Matthew 6:31-33 for some ideas.

Do we have a part to play in any of these promises in order to receive them?

Pastor David ended with a call from Peter to live differently from those around us since we are God’s chosen people. Are there areas you are struggling with living differently from the world around us and being God’s light? How might God be calling you to live Chosen and Set Apart in a different way for the world to see?
