Read Psalm 82, let’s start with focusing on verses 2-4.
David’s prayer is that God will “rescue the weak”, read Micah 6:8 again.
How significant is it that this is what God requires of us? What does it mean he requires us to love or show kindness/mercy? Look up some verse were God talks about mercy and kindness to help answer this question (1 Cor 13:4, Col, 3:12, Eph 4:32, Mat 7:12, Matt 5:7, Luke 6:35, Romans 11:22, Romans 2:3-4). What is God telling us?
Going Deeper #3 – God’s Desire for Humility
Read Psalm 82, let’s start with focusing on verses 4-8.
David’s prayer is that God will “judge the earth”, read Micah 6:8 one more time.
How significant is it that this is what God requires of us? What does it mean he requires us to walk humbly with Him? Look up some verse were God talks about humility to help answer this question (Col 3:12, Ephe 4:1-2, James 4:6-10, 2 Chronicles 7:14, Luke 14:11, Proverbs 3:34, Proverbs 15:33, Psalm 25:9, Philippians 2:3-4 ). What is God telling us?
